Once upon a time, this was my favourite Chinese to order from but the last few times it really has been awful!!
Today we ordered before shop open, told delivery would be between 17.10 and 17.30. The update said enjoy your food but no food. We called the shop at 17.50 and all they said is food is with driver. Finally arrived at 18.10 so 40mins to an hour late.
Food was cold, pork balls were chewy, rice well the grains had gone hard and not to mention my cold chewy sweet n sour chicken. The food ended up in the bin. Hubby called to complain but they really do not give a damn as after all, they have had our money so what does customer service matter.
We will certainly not be returning and if you want something decent for your hard earned money, I suggest you give these a wide berth

Annoying review to say the least. Ordered through just eat- with the various delivery fees involved. No tracking or anything as the delivery is organised through the restaurant - this isn't a deliveroo issue.
Once the driver arrived, he demanded another £2 on for delivery. It "wasn't up to him" and he's told to "just collect it". When we said we didn't have cash & that we'd paid delivery fees in app, that "wasn't his problem" and we needed to figure it out.
Annoying to say the least as this has happened before (but not every time ordered). The food is good, takes a while (and has arrived cold before), but 2 different delivery drivers have now been aggressive at the door demanding money before handing over food. We've tried contacting the restaurant (where we get hung up on), and just eat support don't really care. Just be warned I guess!

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the staff at Peking Chef will never order from them again,
Picked up an order 15 minutes prior to closing, got home 5 minutes later to discover it was incorrect, called up to discuss the issue & got hung up on twice.
Proceeded to go to the shop, the lady argued despite me stating I ordered a dish with rice rather than noodles due to coeliac disease.
I was told to pick out the chicken from the noodles, despite the contamination, rather than being offered a refund or a new dish made, after 15 minutes of arguing on the doorstep i was given a refund and told to never come back.
I kept being told they are closed so forced to discuss this on the street, don’t take orders prior to closing if they cannot be done correctly!

Brilliant food , by far the best salt and pepper king prawn in Bath. The rest of their food is brilliant , and I’ve tried a lot of the menu. Great service always delivered earlier than expected.

Food still hasn't arrived.
Half an hour after my order was supposed to arrive and I'm still waiting.
Had to ring up multiple times as the first few times they hung up straight away.
Was eventually told that my food was with the driver so should arrive soon, but the person on the phone couldn't tell me how long until it will arrive, or when it was given to the driver! I asked if they could contact the driver to find out where my food was, only to be told they don't have their numbers.
Apparently they have no way to track or organise their deliveries!!

Could be the best chinese in Bath- except they pick and chose when they will deliver.
Often phone after 9pm only to be told its too quiet so theyre not delivering tonight- although online it says they deliver until 1030 amd theyre on JustEat refusing later deliveries.
Bad way to run a business.
Can assure you it will just get quieter with that attiude.

Placed a order with the just eat app , ordered chicken curry with no veg or onions , clearly noted in capital letters to stand out , order got delivered and the chicken curry had mushrooms and onions (3 times now they haven’t looked at the notes) plus ordered chicken skewers (none arrived ) another £7.20 wasted .

Took over an hour for my food. We all were hungry and when we tried calling up they weren't very helpful, we requested to get a refund but was told no. This is not okay and the attitude of the rider was the worst.

The girl on the counter put the wrong order through, it happens sure, but when I picked up on it, I was met with flat out refusal to acknowledge their mistake. I asked for their mistake to be corrected or refunded but was met with belligerent refusal. The girl had repeated what I said when I ordered but chose a different item (that contained similar wording) on her till. Her fault but my problem. Not a good way to run a local business. The food is ok, but not enough to make up for the hassle, especially when there are many alternatives available.

the foods great... when you get it. several times they just dont deliver the food and i recall the last time i went in there i saw this lady yelling at one of the workers because they didnt deliver to her house... which was 12 miles away. so i was confused why she was angry if she lived that far away yknow she could literally order from a place in her area! but we only live down the road (5 minute drive) and theres no other takeaway in OUR area so theres no excuse why they either decline the order or make us wait for 2 hours only to decline it ourselves cause they were taking so long (actually happened). phone service is kinda terrible too cause we called in once, ordering went fine, but the guy didnt hang up the phone ?? we sat there listening to the same guy yelling at his daughter or sumn it was sketchy as

Placed an order to be delivered & was given a time. Food arrived 50 minutes late. Tried calling to find where order was they didn’t answer then took phone off the hook. When ordered explained allergic to peppers so please leave out of the meal. To make matters worse after delivering late peppers WERE in the food despite my request. Have tried calling again phone still off the hook. This is the worst takeaway I have ever had the misfortune to use. Avoid it at all costs.

This place was really good up until today. Will never be going back
PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. THE ONLY PERSON WHO SPOKE ENGLISH WAS AROUND 17 MY ORDER WAS WRONG THEY REFUSED TO COME TO PEASEDOWN UNLESS I PAID £2.40 DELIVERY CHARGE. I THEN HAD TO DRIVE TO BATH. THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE MY MEAL AND REPAY ME BACK. THE LADY MANAGER WAS NASTY AND AGRESSIVE AND BARELY SPOKE 2WORDS OF ENGLISH.

Delivery was fast, the food was nice and fresh. It can be really difficult to find a decent chinese takeaway, but this was lovely! We had sweet and sour chicken balls, egg fried rice, salt and pepper chips, prawn toast and spring rolls. All were amazing!
